Complete West Greenland

This immersive voyage along Greenland’s wild western frontier reveals the country’s extraordinary contrasts—ancient Inuit culture and Cold War relics, soaring basalt cliffs and immense glaciers, tranquil fishing villages and vibrant city life. From the historic whaling port of Qeqertarsuaq to the awe-inspiring Ilulissat Icefjord, sail through iceberg-studded waters and hike through lush Arctic valleys as you uncover Greenland’s timeless spirit and natural grandeur.

Day by day

Day 1 : Kangerlussuaq, Greenland

Your adventure begins in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland’s key air hub nestled at the head of a dramatic 160 km fjord. Originally an American air base, this inland settlement still echoes with Cold War history. Upon arrival, transfer to the port and board the Ocean Albatros via Zodiac. Settle into your stateroom and toast to the journey ahead with a welcome dinner as the ship sails out through the stunning fjord, the perfect prologue to your Arctic exploration.

Day 2 : Sisimiut, Greenland's Second City

Wake up in colorful Sisimiut, where history and modern life intersect. Inhabited since 2500 BC, the town holds a deep Inuit and colonial legacy. Explore historic homes from the 1700s, the iconic Blue Church, and vibrant modern centers like the Taseralik cultural hub. Visit local artisan workshops and the fish processing hub that anchors Greenland’s economy. As evening approaches, Ocean Albatros departs for Disko Bay, carrying you further into Greenland’s icy heart.
