Epic Falkland Islands, South Georgia & Antarctica

Epic Falkland Islands, South Georgia & Antarctica
This immersive 19-day expedition unveils the wonders of the South Atlantic and Antarctica, tracing a spectacular route from Ushuaia through the wildlife-rich Falkland Islands and South Georgia’s glacier-strewn coastlines, to the icy fjords and pristine shores of the Antarctic Peninsula. Encounter vast penguin colonies, active glaciers, and historic whaling sites as you journey across some of Earth’s most remote and majestic environments.

Day by day

Day 1 : Arrival and embarkation in Ushuaia

Arrive in the world’s southernmost city, Ushuaia, a lively Patagonian hub nestled between snow-capped peaks and the Beagle Channel. Spend time discovering the town’s charm or venturing into Tierra del Fuego’s wild terrain. In the afternoon, board your expedition vessel and complete the safety drill. As evening falls, set sail through the historic Beagle Channel, once charted by Darwin, where whales and dolphins often surface. The adventure begins as the ship heads toward the Drake Passage.

Day 2 : At sea towards the Falkland Islands

Cruising the South Atlantic, you head northeast to the Falkland Islands. Enjoy lectures from the Expedition Team on the islands’ dramatic history and unique wildlife. The region teems with marine life due to the convergence of warm and cold ocean currents. Keep watch for whales, dolphins, and seabirds as you prepare for your first taste of remote island exploration.
