The voyage begins with the legendary crossing of the Drake Passage, known for its powerful winds and dynamic seas. While traversing this storied body of water, prepare for Antarctica through lectures, wildlife briefings, and mandatory biosecurity procedures. The Expedition Team offers expert-led talks on Antarctic ecosystems, history, and geology. As we pass into the Antarctic Convergence, watch temperatures drop and wildlife flourish—expect sightings of seabirds, whales, and possibly our first glimpse of penguins. Weather permitting, we may even make a surprise landing in the South Shetland Islands.
