Day by day

Day 1 : Longyearbyen

Longyearbyen is the administrative centre of Svalbard, and our Arctic Expedition begins here! Our staff will greet you at the Longyearbyen Airport and transfer you to the hotel that we have arranged and included in your itinerary. Then you can explore the town's charming center on foot.

Start your exploration of the Norwegian High Arctic at Svalbard Museum. Here you will also find hard to locate polar maps and books. After a delicious dinner in one of Longyearbyen’s delightful restaurants, we recommend you continue your exploration. You will see that the sun is still up at midnight if you're awake. The sun won't set during our entire stay in Svalbard.

Day 2 : Longyearbyen

Enjoy Longyearbyen in the morning after breakfast. Enjoy the view of the ice-covered fjords, glaciated mountains and historic coal mining town. You can shop for last-minute items such as winter gear or souvenirs. Remember, your parka will be waiting for you to take home and that waterproof boots can also be borrowed on the ship. Longyearbyen has a variety of quick, easy meals for lunch including some of the northest pizzas and kebabs.

You will then be transported to a deluxe expedition ship. Explore the spacious ship and settle into your suite. This will be the home for your extraordinary journey. Your expedition team will provide you with informative introductions and briefings after we get underway. Step out on the decks after the first delicious dinner to enjoy the beautiful scenery and 24-hour daylight while we travel through Isfjorden's wildlife-rich waters.
